How I got here?
Good question, I've always been interested in creative things, such as drawing, photography, building inventions (inventions to me), tinkering in the garage, and so on. I think what I've enjoyed most it looking at a process and trying to refine it or make it better, faster, stronger, or fail in a more spectacular manner.
Growing up in Hibbing, MN gave me plenty of time to learn something constructive. While still a student at Hibbing High School, I was building websites for friends and even a few businesses. More than once I cut class to work on a web project or two.
My first taste of agency life, I must say I learned alot, had plenty of fun creating new and challenging websites.
Obviously I have a passion for web design, I also get excited seeing a student grasp something. The moment that light bulb turns on is like nothing else. When NCU asked me to do some adjunct faculty teaching in 2006, I jumped at the chance; it has pushed me to stay on top of my game.
I've worked with Lifetime Fitness, BI Worldwide and others as a contractor for various aspects of web development. It was face paced work with little room for error, I took what I learned there and applied it to my everyday work flow.
During my time at ECC I was able to try many things and had freedom to explore and even make a few mistakes. The whole time I was learning and growing.
When not working long hours here, I spend time with my lovely wife and three wonderful kids (the newest, a beautiful baby girl). I've been married almost 8 years in July. The boys are now 4 and 6 Lucy is nearly 1 year old and I'm completly smitten, no matter how rough of a night she had, she's always has a smile for me.
I am a goaltender for an adult rec legue hockey team, still lookin' to go pro. Win or lose it's a great bunch to play with, and I do a suprising ammount of problem solving between the pipes.
That's about it. I love what I do, and I'm always looking for new challenges and projects to tackle. If me and my team look up to the task, contact us and lets get started!
